Beach Volleyball Training

Learning how to jump higher for volleyball is crucial, especially when it comes to beach volleyball.

Just like any other skill, jumping higher is not an easy task. In order to improve your jumping skills, you need to work hard to strengthen your muscles and to improve your speed in using them. Continuous use of your muscles will help you achieve your goal to jump higher. As long as you perform the exercises properly and you follow correct guidelines, you will never be disappointed with the results.

Jumping higher cannot be mastered in a blink of an eye. It takes a while for the body to develop this skill. Repetition builds muscle memory so that jumping becomes more natural to the athlete. It builds up the quadriceps, which are the base muscles in the legs which are used in order to jump higher. It is therefore advisable to spread your workouts to allow for maximum recovery. Also, your training cycles should last a maximum of 16 weeks with a week break before the next one begins. The key components required in vertical jumping are jump height, and coordination. Jump height is determined by how much leg strength you have, your ability to apply leg strength quickly, your ability to absorb force, and how agile you are when you move. It can improve athletic ability in all areas.

Have regular time of practice to improve your jumping skill. It will not only improve your skill but your overall performance as an athlete too. Being an explosive player will surely boost your self-esteem and more people will admire you for a job well done. You will gain not only popularity but also respect from your other team mates and colleagues. Moreover, it is not only good for athletes but also to those who exercise for a healthier lifestyle. But don’t forget that too much exercise can cause injury if not performed properly. Be sure to thoroughly understand all instructions before attempting the exercises.
